Brent Crawford Will Join our 2020 New Year Concert

Brent Crawford is quickly establishing himself among the important Canadian guitarists of his generation. Winner at the Montreal International Guitar Competition, the Great Lakes International Guitar Competition, the inaugural Hamilton International Guitar Competition, and the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals' National Music Competition, his career has included performances at the Mediterranean Guitar Festival in Cervo, Italy, the Sauble Beach Guitar Festival, the TEDx talk in Algonquin Park, as a featured soloist with the University of Toronto Guitar Orchestra, and an on- stage role in the UTSO’s production of the Donizetti opera Don Pasquale. 

Brent is a recent graduate of the Doctorate of Musical Arts (2018) program at the University of Toronto. His doctoral research was dedicated to promoting performance excellence for classical guitarists. Specifically, his research focused on adopting methods and techniques from athletics to form a more rounded, multifaceted approach to musical performance preparation.
