Ken Yang will join our 2017 New Year Concert

We are very glad to announce that Ken Yang will join our 2017 New Year Concert!

Ken Yang has performed classical and jazz around the world, including at Lincoln Centre in New York, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and Roy Thomson Hall with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.  He is a National Grand Prize winner at the Canadian Music Competitions, has played for Lang Lang, Yundi Li and Chengzong Yin. Also, his recordings have been broadcast on CBC Radio 2 and Classical 96.3 FM.

Ken is the keyboardist for Spire, a contemporary East-meets-West fusion band. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Lucent Industries, a technology company he co-founded with the inventor of wearable computing, Steve Mann.   In 2009, Ken was awarded the University of Toronto Excellence Award by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. Ken was also a psychology researcher at the University of Toronto, where he divided his time between the Music and Psychology departments.
