Spire will join our 2016 New Year Concert

We are very glad to announce that Spire will join our 2016 New Year Concert!

Spire is a well-received music group in Toronto, featuring its one-of-a-kind fusion of Eastern and Western music with a variety of music styles. As one of the highly appreciated performers by our audiences in previous New Year Concerts, Spire is coming back to the upcoming 2016 New Year Concert.

Spire was formed in 2010 with a vision of creating fusion between Eastern and Western genres of music. Consisting of 7 talented young musicians, Spire experiments on the combination of Eastern and Western musical instruments to create dazzling melodies ranging from traditional to modern pop music. Its members are Amely Zhou (erhu), Jaimie Chan (cello), Perry Ho (violin), Ken Yang (piano/keyboard), Lipeng Wu (dizi), Wendy Zhou (pipa), and William Tran (drum set).

Full of vigor and originality, Spire’s music has been well-received by Toronto and Canadian communities over the years. Besides of its first concert, Reborn, performed at Toronto Chinese Modern Art Academy in 2012, Spire has been featured in several large Toronto events, such as “Night it Up!”, “T&T Supermarket’s Waterfront Night Market”, “Richmond Hill Summer Carnival”, and the “Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) International Stage”, as well as numerous corporate and charity events, including TD Bank, Sick Kids Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, ROM’s Friday Night Live!. Recently, Spire has been honored as the 6 finalists at a large North America Asian Pacific Showcase – ‘Kollaboration Toronto’.

We are excited to have them back on the stage of 2016 New Year Concert. Spire will bring a unique music experience of the East and the West to our audiences. For more information about Spire, please visit www.spirefusion.com.
